Across the United States, there are a number of outstanding places for people to spend their honeymoon. Top of that list is the great state of Hawaii.
Hawaii
The great natural beauty of the island, the gentle breezes and warm waters make it a lovely spot for a couple to get away for a while. Beyond that, there are sporting activities you can indulge in: water skiing, mountain climbing, kayaking, surfing and scuba diving; to name only a few. Then, if they feel like a stroll through art and history; there are Pearl Harbor, and the examples of native culture to explore.
Next, there is the old classic:
Niagara Falls
Couples have been going to Niagara Falls for their honeymoons for decades. There are the falls, and a whole host of lovely hotels that all cater to the honeymoon crowd. In addition, there are stores and fine dining on both the American and Canadian sides of the falls.
Florida
Then, depending on your definition of fun, there are central Florida and Key West. The middle of the state has Walt Disney World and all that it has to offer. Plus, if you and your spouse are real theme park junkies, there are also Universal Studios and SeaWorld. Plus, central Florida has many lovely nature parks and golf courses. So, if you are more of the “outdoorsy” types, you can find something to do in the area. As for Key West, it has a culture of – shall we say – a slightly different style.
Every Halloween they have what is known as “Fantasy Fest”. It is their version of a Halloween party, but it is definitely a walk on the “wild side”. You can see everything from women walking around topless, save for body paint, to Goths and other alternate lifestyles. So, if you and your spouse fancy a honeymoon of something different, Key West is the place for you.
Napa Valley
If you fancy something a little more subdued, there is the Napa Valley of California. It has lovely bed and breakfasts, and you can take tours of the wineries and vineyards in the area. As life is a bit quieter and slower-paced, if you and your spouse would like to sleep in, take things slow and just relax and enjoy your time together – this is the area for you.
And then, conversely, if you like bright lights, action and a high-speed high-octane life, then spend your honeymoon in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Las Vegas
While the city is rather isolated, it has more than enough in the way of entertainment. Even if you do not care for gambling, there are so many different high-quality shows for you to see; you could watch a different one every night you are there. There is Cirque du Soleil, one of the most incredible kinds of circuses in the world. It is no Ringling Brothers, but it is still fantastic.
So, no matter what your tastes – if communing with nature is what you want, or gambling the night away, or quiet walks along tree-lined country roads – you can find just the right honeymoon spot in the US.
